Last year, same time, I was with my girlfriend Adeline off for a journey around Australia. This three months long journey took us all around the place, and more than once we’ve been given the chance to admire some pretty awesome landscapes. Adeline shared most of the pictures of our trip on our travel blog backpackgeeks.com which I highly recommend you to check out.
Yesterday, I ended up browsing around our trip pictures and thought that it could be cool to share 10 of my favorite pictures from this epic trip. These are not necessarily the best ones (photography wise), but the ones that mean the most souvenirs to me.
Let’s get started!
First up, a shot from the great ocean road – this one has more of a 24km hike feel to it. A great place to finish the hike though.
Another shot from the great ocean road – here, the 12 apostles.
Giant trees – shot taken down in the Walpole national park, south of western Australia. Can you spot how small I am compared to these giants?
Not sure why I like this picture. It has something evil and fun to it …
Shot form the McDonnell ranges. We took a 2 days hike in these gigantic mountain ranges at the center of Australia. Nobody around, just, silence and some dingos.
Us and our happy faces at the finish of the trail. Nearly out of water …
Cairns, it’s Taiwan like landscape. Mountains and jungle and … it’s many sugar cane fields. Ideal for Rum!
Who would go to Cairns and not take a dive on the great barrier reef? Probably the best scuba diving souvenirs ever – just amazing.
Another fun souvenir is our little boat cruise on the Daintree river. With an engine that broke down on the way back and the surrounding river filled with some 3m+ crocs!
And finally, a montage panorama taken in Western Australia. Probably one of the best panoramas’ I’ve taken during that trip.
So that’s it. Hopefully you enjoyed this little glimpse into my souvenirs. Any questions or comments, use the forms below – I’d love to share more.
