Last year with my colleague Pieter, we started a joint initiative between HWBOT & OverClocking-TV to produce a talk-show about overclocking. For the first season, we recorded 6 episodes that where all tied-in with a distribution through TheOverclocker magazine written by Neo Sibeko. For the second season, we've decided to give everything a new spin by: recording episodes more often: once every two weeks producing shorter episodes: we're done from a 45 minutes format to a 10-15 … [Read more...]

Frozen PC Project – Update & Look Behind the Scenes
As I told you in an earlier post - two month ago - I had the chance to play around with some amazing equipment here in Taipei. Point was not to just have fun at 600Mbt/s 4K but also to shoot a pilot short-movie for one of the most awesome projects I'm working on at OverClocking-TV. For now called the "Frozen PC Project". The idea is to freeze up a whole PC system and shoot it from all sort of cool angles. Slow-mo, time-lapse, ln2, all of the extreme ingredients are in it! … [Read more...]
Preaching for performance tuning
Since I joined HWBOT.org in December last year, a major part of my work is quite religious by its definition: evangelism. Yes, I'm a preacher! I preach for performance tuning and more precisely overclocking. Sure, it might not sound as serious as this is, no-one needs to repent its sins here, but beware - I keep a close watch on my folks! For this post I would like to come back on my first quarter of part time work at HWBOT and the contributor position I took on at PCWorld.fr as an editorial … [Read more...]

Well, simply put it's a talk show (similar to a video podcast) in which Pieter-Jan and myself are discussing the latest trends, facts and happenings of the overclocking community. … [Read more...]

How to explain Overclocking competitions to your friends
As an overclocking competition long time insider, I'm used to talk about over clocking and meet people with whom I share the same passion for extreme computer usage. Thus even if I'm used to talk about it as part of my work at OverClocking-TV, explaining what overclocking is and what overclocking competitions are about to my non-geek friends is always a moment of struggle. About a month ago, in between the coverage of an Overclocking competition in Taiwan and my move to Australia, I spend a … [Read more...]
