Last year with my colleague Pieter, we started a joint initiative between HWBOT & OverClocking-TV to produce a talk-show about overclocking. For the first season, we recorded 6 episodes that where all tied-in with a distribution through TheOverclocker magazine written by Neo Sibeko.
For the second season, we’ve decided to give everything a new spin by:
- recording episodes more often: once every two weeks
- producing shorter episodes: we’re done from a 45 minutes format to a 10-15 minutes
- creating a Live Q&A show hosted by Isaie and myself: stream every two weeks in-between two episodes.
Of course, this means, more OC Shows – so technically more work. And it is true. But I have to say, that myself, as a host, enjoy the show a lot more that way.
This is what the show looks like after two episodes:
Getting guests on board
Hosting a show is fun. But being always by ourselves is boring. So we’ve decided to take advantage of the live Q&As streamed on the OCTV Twitch channel to get guests on board. They can ben from the community (from other sites, or simply overclockers), from the industry and well why not the president! Na .. I’m kidding on that last one. ^^
We are definitely thrilled to be doing this show, and hopefully the audience will love it do .. and hopefully become a little more participative as the episodes crank up in numbers.
Since the lives are timezone restricted, we’re also making sure to upload replays online.
